Leavey School of Business Online Programs Admissions Requirements
Admissions requirements for the online master’s programs are as follows:
- Online application
- Application fee of $100 (non-refundable)
- This fee will be waived for SCU students and alumni who apply in the SCU Alumni Pathway, as well as veterans and active-duty military.
- GMAT/GRE scores (a waiver is available for qualifying applicants)
- GMAT school code: BV3-WB-51
- GRE school code: 4851
- A four-year bachelor's degree
Official transcripts for undergraduate degree(s) and any post-baccalaureate work.* Santa Clara University strongly prefers electronic official transcripts, which may be delivered by your institution to gradbusiness@scu.edu. If necessary, hard copies of transcripts should be addressed to:

- TOEFL or IELTS scores are required of all applicants whose first language is not English (even if the applicant is a U.S. citizen) or if their degree was not awarded by a U.S. university/college

- Qualified applicants will be invited to schedule a personal admission interview. Interviews can be conducted in person at Santa Clara University, via Zoom, or by telephone
- For MBA applicants: three or more years of professional work experience
*This includes extension programs and an evaluation from a NACES-accredited organization such as WES.

Alumni Expedited Pathway to Online Programs Admission
Students are welcome to apply via this pathway if they have graduated with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from any of Santa Clara University's degree programs, or a GPA of 2.5 or higher from the School of Engineering or in any STEM-related discipline. Additionally, students who have graduated from Leavey School of Business or with a STEM degree qualify for a GMAT/GRE waiver.
Application requirements for the alumni expedited pathway are as follows:
- Completed online application
- Resume/CV
- Personal admission interview
- For MBA applicants: three or more years of professional work experience
GMAT/GRE scores, official transcripts, letters of recommendations, TOEFL/IELTS scores, and the application fee are not required for expedited alumni applicants!
